Break The Floorboards at The Key Theatre

Break The Floorboards is the story of Zane, a teenage Muslim who wants to dance more than anything else, but is ridiculed by his family, his mum and older brother. When he meets dancer Sophie at the community centre, he realises that his dream my yet still come true.  Along the way he must  fight not only his family, but a white fascist group threatening to march on his home city.

Well acted, well choreographed and with very good music Break The Floorboards is a show worth seeing.

With a cast of eight, many of the young actors play more than one role.

 9/10
